A BIT ABOUT MITCH TERPSTRA

My name is Mitch Terpstra, I am 20 years old and in my third year at the University of Canberra. I am studying a Bachelor of Communication and Media specialising in Sports Media.

I have a wide variety of interests particularly the world of sport. I am a fan and follow nearly all sports but my main passions are AFL, NBA, MLB Baseball and different forms of motorsport. I have always had a keen interest in sport throughout my life, whether that be playing, watching or analysing it.

I have a number of goals and aspirations within the sports media industry that I want to achieve. Those being to establish myself as a sports journalist over all three mediums (print, radio/podcast and TV) over the span of my career.

I am currently an intern at the NEAFL media team writing match preview and review articles as well as post-game interviews. I also currently work as a camera operator for Sportscast Australia filming 1st Grade Mens and Womens AFL Canberra.
